Submissions

We take submissions year round of written work including feature articles, artist profiles, stories about creative projects and initiatives, and articles about arts events and workshops happening across regional WA.

We also support photo-essays that capture the vibrancy of regional arts and culture.

What we’re looking for:

We aim to share stories that inspire, inform, and connect our regional arts community. Stories are published on our wesbite and syndicated across social media and in our monthly e-newsletter.

We welcome:

• People profiles: Stories about artists, arts workers, and creative practitioners who are making an impact in their regional communities
• Listicles: How-To’s, Guides, and Top 10s that are relevant for artists and arts workers
• First Nations stories: Celebrating Aboriginal arts and culture across regional WA (these submissions will be assessed in consultation with appropriate cultural authorities)
• Photo essays: A series of images that capture regional arts events, workshops, or creative projects
• Stories from WA’s nine regions: Including the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Mid West, Wheatbelt, Peel, South West, Great Southern, and Goldfields-Esperance. These might highlight how to navigate these regions for visitors chasing arts and cultural experiences
• Events and workshops: Coverage of arts activities, skill-sharing opportunities, and creative development happening in regional WA

We accept pre-written articles from 500-1000 words as submissions, or ideas for content with examples of previously published work. Photographers can submit a series of images that fit within a theme for a photo essay.
