You asked, and we responded!
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting artists across regional Western Australia, in partnership with Esperance Community Arts, our Social Fabric program recently delivered an Artist Bio Writing Workshop in Kepa Kurl/Esperance.
Facilitated by Tracy Hill and hosted at Esperance Community Arts, the workshop formed part of our broader professional development program. The session was developed in direct response to feedback from artists in Kepa Kurl who wanted to strengthen their professional practice by learning to write and refine their artist biographies.
At Social Fabric, we are committed to listening to the needs of our creative communities. This workshop is a perfect example of our “you asked, and we responded” approach, creating targeted opportunities that help artists build confidence, enhance their professional profiles, and better position themselves for exhibitions, grants, commissions, and other creative opportunities.
For artists in Kalgoorlie, our Artist Bio Writing Workshop will be coming to you soon. We’ll announce the details shortly!
Stay tuned for more upcoming professional development opportunities and let us know if you’d like to see something particular in your region.
Social Fabric is funded by the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund Regional Arts Australia, the Minderoo Foundation, Lotterywest, and Healthway to promote positive health outcomes for our communities.
