Alysha leads RAWA’s strategic projects and partnerships including advocacy activities for the regional arts sector
She began her career at the Department of Culture and the Arts, focusing on policy, research, and cultural infrastructure planning. After travelling and living abroad, she discovered the placemaking movement and returned to work with leading town planning companies in senior roles advising governments and property developers across Australia in place planning and development. Her experience includes roles in local government and the not-for-profit sector and as a freelance local producer and consultant.
 
Alysha influenced exemplary projects such as the Museum of Perth, Hibernian Place, Perth Girls’ School and Curtin University’s place activation. She designed WA’s first regional cultural infrastructure grant program and, in 2020, co-authored an industry discussion paper about percent for art policy.
Alysha holds a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) with first-class Honours and completed university studies in Regional Planning, Creative Placemaking, Strategic Cultural Tourism Planning and Noongar Language and Culture.
