Celebrating 50 Years of Deadly

As NAIDOC Week 2026 (5-12 July) celebrates 50 Years of Deadly, it offers an opportunity to connect, listen, learn and celebrate the enduring cultures, knowledge and contributions of First Nations peoples. Across regional Western Australia, communities come together in places of gathering, reflection and celebration, continuing to strengthen and sustain culture across Country.

From festivals and art exhibitions to truth-telling events and performances, these celebrations sit at the intersection of arts, culture and community. The diverse range of activities reflects the strength, richness and diversity of First Nations people, places and stories.

The list below highlights just some of this year’s deadly NAIDOC and First Nations-led arts and cultural events taking place across regional WA.
