The Blue Room Theatre, with support from Regional Arts WA, will host a emerging regional theatre maker/performer/artist aged 18-26, for a week-long professional development residency, with all travel, program and accommodation costs covered.
The lucky participant will co-design a 5-day timetable and be exposed to networking opportunities. The goal of this experience is to provide professional development and foster connections for a regional artist with the Boorloo Perth arts community, creating a tailored learning experience that will deepen their knowledge of the local arts sector.
Information About this Grant
This opportunity is for young, emerging artists living regionally/remotely, aged between 18 and 26.
The funding opportunity covers a week-long professional development residency, with all travel, program and accommodation costs covered.
The five consecutive days of the residency will take place between Oct – Nov 2025
The residency will fast-track the knowledge and skill development of an young regional performance artist, so they may better understand and navigate the WA arts sector, preparing them for a thriving future career.
The opportunity will include watching shows, observing rehearsals and bump ins, meeting with sector leaders, connecting with fellow emerging artists, attending workshop and talks, and taking part in tours of Perth’s key arts institutions and buildings.
