Yarn Bomb | Exmouth Cultural Arts Centre
Yarn Bomb, a project by Exmouth Cultural Arts Centre, transformed Federation Park into a vibrant woolly wonderland, treating adults and kids to a fun colour-packed new park perspective. Leading up to the bombing, members of the community knitted and crocheted their way through ball after ball of wool. Free learn-to-knit workshops were enthusiastically taken-up across all ages, encouraging future event involvement and increasing the organisations profile.
Due to the successful impact of Yarn Bomb they are now working towards creating a five-metre coral reef from threads and yarn!

“I have never seen ECAC headquarters so busy and alive with people from all stages-of-life involved in a community project. Sometimes learning to paint or play a musical instrument can be daunting for new members, so getting involved with knitting, crocheting and designing wool structures can ease them into projects.” Christie Wareham-Norfolk Event Organiser
