The Exchange 2016

The Exchange 2016

Regional Arts WA

Running from the 14-16 November, The Exchange saw 24 delegates representing 16 arts and cultural organisations from the nine regions of Western Australia, including the Indian Ocean Territories gather at Fairbridge Village in Pinjarra for the second consecutive year.

The program featured professional development workshops; sharing stories sessions; open space-style conversations; Scheme Four evaluation wrap-up from Edith Cowan University; the Regional Arts Partnership Program (RAPP) update; participatory activities; lots of talking; some more talking; and a good few laughs. This was achieved during the three days despite the bugs; the heat; the saggy mattresses; the ‘eeeeiiuuing’ of the resident muster of peacocks; and the nearest latte 9.4kms away.

The success of the Exchange owed everything to the presence and input of the delegates; with their generosity of time, thoughtful contributions, patience, humour, and overwhelming commitment to and love of regional arts.
