A new partnership between Ravensthorpe Regional Arts Council (RRAC) and Euphorium Creative in Geraldton promises to work with and complement local artists in the field of performing arts to Hopetoun and surrounding regions.

Euphorium Creative Ringleader Julian Canny hopes that by the two organisations working together RRAC will secure future opportunities from state bodies and foster more connections for the region.

“If we can work with RRAC to assist in delivering more value for the community through arts programming and producing, it will not only increase the resources of the community but also help leverage more opportunities in the future,” Canny said.

“We are excited to work as a team to upskill our programming and business operational trading as well as opening up links for inter-regional exchange of artists.”

Julian Canny, along with fellow Euphorium member Kirsty Kipling made the 950 km trip from Geraldton to Hopetoun this month with specific projects in mind.

“I am so glad i got the opportunity to visit Hopetoun and Ravensthorpe. These are two very beautiful communities that we are excited to be working with, in partnership with RRAC”, said Marketing Director at Euphorium Creative Kirsty Kipling.

Euphorium Creative and RRAC will be presenting three comedy galas in Ravensthorpe, Hopetoun and Jerdacuttup later in the year thanks to the “Raise The Roof” program supported by Creative Regions.

This is a great opportunity for residents in the neighbouring regions and their communities as a whole, who can get ready to expect an awesome lineup of international, national and local acts.

Euphorium Creative collaborators in Geraldton can also get excited about a few more opportunities coming their way as Euphorium’s local artists, now have the chance to travel and perform statewide!

There is lots of planning in progress as both regional organisations continue to cement this partnership and bring great opportunities to the people in their communities.

Stay tuned for future updates on this wonderful collaboration!
