ART ON WHEELS
Young people in Morawa participated in a series of car painting workshops with Geraldton artist Shah.
Over the course of a week, participants designed and painted bright, bold, and colourful designs on two old cars. They also worked with Onthesly Motorsports & Media to create a film documenting the process. These cars were displayed publicly in town during the school holidays before being moved to a more permanent location in town.
“To have the Youth of Morawa jump in, as well as the Shire, and all the other organisations support and help us out was amazing. Lots of things came together for this and if it wasn’t for everyone’s help this project wouldn’t have been as successful.
The feedback from people in town is that the finished cars are amazing. They look awesome; We have done a slick and professional job. There’s been a lot of feedback from the adults in town – all really positive.”
