Goldfields-Esperance Focus Region
Following on from the success of the Regional Arts Australia Summit: Arts and Edges, the Goldfields-Esperance region continues to remain a key focus for Country Arts WA.
In partnership with Regional Development Australia Goldfields-Esperance (RDAGE), Country Arts WA worked with the community to develop a regional arts and culture framework created specifically for the region.
The Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission provided funding through the Regional Grants Scheme to deliver capacity-building initiatives – including the Artful Leadership for Community Building Program. The Artful Leadership group is working with the community to further develop the framework in to an actionable, strategic plan for the region.
Country Arts WA entered into a memorandum of understanding with Tjuma Pulka Aboriginal Media Corporation to engage Creative Producer, Gary Cooper, to develop a First Nations Festival for the region – a key action from the framework.
