The Seed Fund | Funding Round Now Open
The Seed Fund is a not-for-profit and philanthropic in nature Australian organisation that supports emerging Australian musicians, artists and arts workers via direct grant categories, workshops and community-based initiatives.
Established by musician John Butler, through a donation to the Australian Business Arts Foundation’s Australia Cultural Fund in 2005, The Seed assists Australian artists from any background, creating art and music across any genre, to establish themselves as self-sustaining, professionals. Australia has a dynamic and unique arts community and by empowering artists to create careers The Seed aims to enhance Australia’s cultural life.
2015 GRANT CATEGORIES:
PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT SUPPORT | Grants of up to $5000 | Up to three opportunities available for Managers who have previously attended the The Seed Management Workshop.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE SONG | Grants of up to $3500 | Up to three opportunities available for Australian Performing / Recording Artists.
MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP | Value of project $55,000 | Up to 25 opportunities available for Australian emerging Managers including Self-managed Artists.
BUSH BANDS BUSINESS | Up to $5000 funding for mentors
SONG CYCLES INBOUND | This program takes urban music industry professionals into remote Australian Indigenous community festivals, to discover the rich and diverse remote Indigenous musicianship and songwriting craft that exists.
