Call Out | Regional and Remote AiR Project 2015-2016

The Western Australian Artist-in-Residence (AiR) Grants Program funding partners, the Department of Culture and the Arts and the Department of Education, invite Western Australian based professional artists or arts and cultural organisations to apply now to participate in a special Regional and Remote AiR Project Grant for delivery in 2016.

A one-off grant of $30,000 has been awarded to Vasse Primary School for the delivery of an AiR project starting in Term 2, 2016. The purpose of this special grant is to provide a regional and/or remote Western Australian public school and State-based artists with:

  • A greater opportunity to participate in the AiR Grants Program 2015-2016;
  • additional opportunities for artists and/or arts and cultural organisations to work in partnership with regional and/or remote public schools; and
  • skills development, through the grant writing process, to build capacity in regional and/or remote public schools to apply to the AiR Grants Program and project manage artist residencies in the future.

Vasse Primary School has provided information for artists/organisations applying for this residency:

The successful applicant/s must be available to work in partnership with Vasse Primary School to further develop the project concept, attend workshops when required, and deliver the project during the period 26 April-23 September 2016 (minimum hour commitment 150 hours).
