Bundanon Trust Residency

Bundanon Trust Residency

Gemma Robins

Imagine what you could achieve with time to focus on your craft, without life’s distractions. Where space and time are bendable and creative productivity is heightened. This is the Bundanon experience, and it could be yours. A Bundanon Trust residency offers arts professionals working in any discipline the opportunity to focus on their own work, while sharing our beautiful natural setting on the South Coast of NSW with artists from other disciplines.

Artists from across Australia and the world come to Bundanon for its bush setting and its dedicated residence and studio spaces, where ideas manifest and imaginations wander.

They come individually or in groups, and often discover new collaborators as they meet for a morning coffee. Many great creative concepts have been born at Bundanon. Initiated in 1997, Bundanon Trust’s Artist-in-Residence program is the largest of its kind in Australia, welcoming more than 300 professional artists and creative thinkers each year. Artists and creatives undertaking a residency may spend up to six weeks on site.

The program is a key part of Arthur Boyd’s vision for Bundanon Trust: to give artists from all disciplines first-hand access to the rich cultural and environmental history of the Bundanon properties and to provide a platform for them to work together.

Applications close Monday 6 July 2015.
