spaced is a recurring international event of context-responsive and socially-engaged art, presented in regional and remote locations.

Commencing in 2016, the third iteration of the spaced program will take an innovative new direction focusing on a cross-cultural exchange between Australia and the Nordic region. The event will include the participation of artists from Australia completing residencies in the Nordic region, and Nordic artists undertaking residencies in regional and remote Western Australian locations. Each artist will be commissioned to create new works based on their engagement with the social, environmental and historical contexts of their host community.
