NAIDOC 2017: Our Languages Matter, Art, Culture + Music Festival | Kalgoorlie-Boulder
Tjuma Pulka is proud to present an exciting art, culture and music program for NAIDOC 2017.
NAIDOC is for all people in our community to join together and celebrate a rich cultural heritage that is unique to the Goldfields region.
The program this year begins with a Creation Story by Josie Boyle, How Language Came to Be. It is an acknowledgement on the importance of language in being culturally strong and secure. The art, culture and music program encourages community to use language – to speak out strong and to be proud of our words.
After the launch on 3 July, events will continue throughout the week; including photography and art exhibitions, storytelling, markets, and a big concert on Friday night at the Goldfields Art Centre with Electric Fields.
You can download the full program here.
