Regional Arts WA celebrates and strengthens a powerful regional arts sector to contribute to connected and creative regional communities.

Established in 1994, Regional Arts WA is the State’s only multi-arts organisation with a purely regional focus.

We are currently recruiting for two positions.

Current Vacancies

Acting Network Coordinator (Maternity Leave)

Regional Arts WA is looking for an Acting Network Coordinator to manage the Regional Arts Network Initiative and its key strategic programs from inception, through to evaluation and completion. They lead a small team that is both flexible and responsive to the needs of the regional arts sector, and to the values of the organisation. This Network Coordinator delivers a suite of projects and activities to satisfy the key strategies of the organisation and achieve its long-term outcomes.

Essential Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience in culture and the arts and community development.
  2. Demonstrated experience of activity planning and budgeting skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead a small team in a challenging and high-pressure work environment.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage positive stakeholder relationships.
  5. Experience of coordinating and collaborating with a range of different people.
  6. General knowledge of and interest in regional Western Australia.
  7. A current C class driver’s licence.

Desirable Criteria

  1. Demonstrated understanding of the value of Outcomes Measurement aligned with the creation of Theories of Change.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of creative leadership skills and community consultation.

Research Officer

Regional Arts WA is looking for a part-time Research Officer to ensure best practice research, analysis and evaluation which is responsive to the needs of the regional arts sector and to the Values of the organisation.

The applicant is to read the position profile, provide a current CV (two-page max.) and address the following criteria in a separate document (three-page max.) with solid demonstration of the following:

  • Well-developed evaluation skills including research, interview techniques, analysis and report writing.
  • Evidence of prior research work or report writing
  • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions addressing structural and operational barriers standing in the way of achieving project outcomes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the value of Outcomes Measurement aligned with the creation of Theories of Change.
  • Strong skills in IT and database (CRM) management including the use of Microsoft suite (Teams, Excel, Word, Sharepoint) and a CRM, preferably Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, with the capacity to work unsupervised and under pressure when required.
  • General knowledge of and interest in regional Western Australia and culture and the arts, community development or related sector.

Requirement

  • A current C class licence
